Valley of the Kings

While we were in Egypt, we journeyed through the vast  Sahara to the fabled Valley of the Kings.

While it was only 7:30 in the morning,
 it was already unbearably hot.

The tourist areas are strictly controlled.  Even though we were a big-fat tv crew from Canada- our permits didn't allow us to shoot in the Valley.

Pretty disappointing, but we took the tour anyway and it was really amazing.

Though, most tombs are so huge and dark
we couldn't have shot in there anyway.

They call Egypt "The world's largest outdoor museum"  so we had no trouble shooting MORE than enough monuments for the show.

Sometimes I bug Robin about being kind of a "Big Guy".  He looks like a pipsqueak next to this incredible statue.
