Downriver to Nicaragua

While visiting Costa Rica, we had the opportunity to travel downriver to San Carlos, Rio San Juan, Nicaragua.

Many people probably think that there's still a civil war going on, but there's been stability here for a decade already.

We found the people very friendly, and quite curious about this foreign TV crew.

Kids seem to love Robin wherever we go, and vice versa.

Even the army seemed nice.

It was just a quick stop in the afternoon then it was back on the boat to return to Costa Rica, they even let me DRIVE

A little further down the river,
we saw a BUNCH of howler monkeys.

We couldn't film the border guards, but they did lend us their macaw for a few shots,.

SOMEBODY left the lights on in the car, so we had to try to push-start it.

THAT got a few laughs from the locals...plus a boost with some wire from the roadside.
